The 100K follows the Javelina course's first three loops: one 22-mile Escondido opening loop and two 19-mile Pemberton repeats, totaling 62 miles. It shares all of the same aid stations, crew access, and Halloween atmosphere as the flagship event — including the legendary scene at Jackass Junction — with a more approachable distance for runners stepping up from 50K territory.

Multiple camping options at Javelina Jeadquarters: pre-set Tent City rentals (with optional cots and sleeping bags), BYO tent camping, car camping, and RV camping. Camping passes reserved through Ultrasignup registration on a first-come, first-served basis. Check-in begins Friday before race day.
Same Sonoran Desert conditions as the 100-mile: warm sunny days (70-85°F) and cool desert nights in the 40s. The 100K starts at 7 AM, giving runners a full day of sun before transitioning into Halloween night.
Daytime temperatures can reach 80-85°F on fully exposed desert singletrack
Overnight temperatures drop to the low 40s°F; layering essential for all runners continuing into the night
Open desert course with minimal shade; sunscreen strongly recommended for daytime miles
