Ohio forest ultrarunning with UTMB 100K Index points
The Mohican 50 Mile shares the beloved forest terrain of the flagship 100-mile race through the 5,000-acre Mohican Memorial State Forest. Starting one hour after the 100-milers, runners traverse multiple loops over a mix of singletrack, dirt road, and pavement. Aid stations stocked every ~5 miles and a generous time limit make this an approachable ultra, though Ohio's summer heat and humidity present a real challenge. The race carries UTMB Index 100K status.

Camping available at Mohican Adventures Campground at the start/finish area on SR-3. Runners registered at the adjacent campground may stop at their campsite during the race if it is near the course. Mohican State Park offers additional camping options within the race course area.
