A lollipop loop through Cape Perpetua's old-growth rainforest with sweeping Pacific views
Other trail races within 138 miles
The Perpetua Coast 20 Miler covers 20.1 miles with 3,800 feet of climbing on a lollipop-loop course that dives deep into the Cape Perpetua Scenic Area. The first and last 2.5 miles are fast and flat along the Oregon Coast Trail skirting the Yachats shoreline — lawn, gravel path, and road shoulder above the ocean bluffs. After crossing Highway 101, the route becomes almost entirely dirt singletrack, climbing steadily through old-growth Sitka spruce with numerous root and rock sections to negotiate. The lollipop design means runners experience the deepest forest terrain twice before returning to The Adobe Resort finish.
