What Makes It Great

A spectacular point-to-point traversal of the Oregon Coast Range, the Tillamook Burn 50-miler runs west to east from the banks of the Wilson River to historic Reehers Camp near the upper Nehalem River. The route climbs through deep forest to the Storey Burn ridge divide, dips through the classic University Falls lollipop loop, and plunges through the remote Gales Creek canyon before a final ripping descent to the finish. With 9,500 feet of climbing on 40 miles of premier Coast Range singletrack and 10 miles of rugged forest roads, the course showcases the best of the lush Tillamook rainforest — rumbling waterfalls, spring-fed stream crossings, massive grey ghost snags from the legendary Tillamook fires, and territorial views across forested ridges.
