The Tavignanu Trail is a 33 km circuit that drops into the dramatic Tavignanu valley before climbing onto high ridges with panoramic views over the Monte Rotondo massif. A relentless 1,400 m opening ascent leads past the natural Scandulaghju arch and historic Padule sheepfolds before a technical descent through shaded forest paths and waterfalls returns runners to Corte's old citadel finish. With 2,400 m of elevation gain and a 9.5-hour cutoff, it rewards runners with a concentrated dose of Corsica's mountain character.
