The SwissPeaks 100 Miles begins at the crown of the Grande-Dixence dam — Europe's highest gravity dam at 2,365 meters — and descends 168km through the heart of Valais to the shores of Lake Geneva. With nearly 11,000 meters of climbing through high alpine terrain, glacier-carved valleys, and traditional mountain villages, it demands strong mountain skills and self-sufficiency across a 56-hour cutoff. Two life bases with luggage transport and 15 refreshment stations support up to 300 runners on this breathtaking dam-to-lake traverse.
