The Telluride Mountain Run Hill Climb is a new-for-2026 point-to-point ascent from historic Telluride to the summit of Gold Hill on the Telluride Ski Area. Beginning at Oak Street Plaza at 8,750 feet, the route climbs 4,000 feet in roughly 4.5 miles through ski runs, jeep roads, and alpine terrain to the 12,750-foot summit. Designed for runners and hikers alike, this event benefits the Telluride Mountain Club and finishes at an exposed alpine summit with sweeping views of the San Juan Mountains. Runners can descend via the free gondola or take a longer scenic hike through Bear Creek Basin.
