A rugged 14.6-mile loop above Cuchara with 3,200 ft of climbing and autumn aspen colors
Other trail races within 104 miles
Starting and finishing at the Cuchara Yacht Club, this 14.6-mile loop climbs through open terrain with striking red rock formations and water crossings before entering the dense lodgepole and aspen forest of San Isabel National Forest. Runners briefly share the high mountain terrain with the 50K course, topping out near 10,634 ft with sweeping views of the Spanish Peaks before descending to the Cuchara Mountain Park aid station — the only dedicated crew access point. The final section climbs the Dike Trail one last time before returning to the Yacht Club Oktoberfest party.
