Gold rush foothills trail run with 4,000 ft of gain — and a surprise Ford Galaxie in the woods
Other trail races within 62 miles
The Yuba Gold 35K covers the eastern half of the flagship 50K course, skipping the technical Humbug Trail descent but reaching the same 4,700 ft max elevation. Runners traverse Missouri Bar Trail, fire roads through Tahoe National Forest, and a large section of the South Yuba Trail — including a chance to spot an abandoned 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 parked in the forest. With 4,000 feet of gain in 21.7 miles, it's a challenging mountain trail run in the Sierra Nevada foothills.
