Glacier Ridge Trail 50 Mile

A 50-mile out-and-back through the rolling hardwood forests of western Pennsylvania's Moraine State Park, Jennings Environmental Education Center, and the eastern park horse trail network. Runners follow the blue-blazed North Country/Glacier Ridge Trail for much of the first half before venturing onto gravel roads, double-track, and horse trails in the more remote eastern section. The course is named for the terminal moraine — the southernmost ridge reached by Pre-Illinoian glaciers some 1–2 million years ago. Held in early May, it serves as a popular early-season fitness test, with all net proceeds donated to state parks.
