A rugged 100-mile circumnavigation of Big Bear Valley via the Pacific Crest Trail and Sugarloaf Mountain
Other trail races within 173 miles
The Kodiak 100 Mile circumnavigates the entire Big Bear Valley, spending most of its distance above 7,000 feet in elevation. Runners climb to the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain (9,995 ft), traverse miles of the Pacific Crest Trail through Holcomb Valley, and descend into Siberia Canyon, taking in views of Big Bear Lake from multiple ridgelines and high points. The course passes through three distinct ecosystems—high desert with Joshua trees, dense subalpine forest with towering pines, and semi-arid terrain—making it one of the most scenically varied 100-mile courses in the Western United States. As the UTMB World Series Americas Major, top finishers earn automatic qualification for the UTMB World Series Finals.
