A fast and technical single-loop mountain race that visits the Lakes Basin and summits Mammoth Mountain via the iconic Dragon's Back Trail. The 26K serves as a stage of the Golden Trail World Series, drawing an international elite field for the season finale, while generous cutoffs keep the course open to recreational runners. An elite women's wave starts at 8:00am, with elite men and the general masses rolling five minutes later. From the Village Plaza, the course climbs steeply to 11,053 feet before descending on technical mountain bike trails back to a lively finish-line celebration.
