A forested lake loop on historic trails in the Mt. Hood backcountry
Other trail races within 76 miles
The Mt Hood Trail Runs 25K is a scenic forest loop circling Clackamas and Timothy Lakes using trails exclusive to this distance. From the Clackamas Lake Historic Ranger Station, runners cross onto the Miller Trail, transition to the Headwaters Trail around Clackamas Lake, then take the historic Old 1916 Trail with its rolling climbs and descents to the first aid station. From there, the course connects to the Timothy Lake trail for a glorious loop around the lake's north shore before returning to the finish. Unlike the longer distances, the 25K does not touch the PCT.
