A steep, technical lakeshore-to-ridge loop in the heart of Belcarra Regional Park
Other trail races within 56 miles
A compact but punchy loop through Belcarra Regional Park near Port Moody. The course hugs the shoreline of Sasamat Lake before climbing the Buntzen Ridge Trail to glimpse Buntzen Lake on the far side of the ridge. With 600 meters of vertical gain packed into just 13 kilometers, the climbs are steep and the descents technical — punching well above its weight for the distance. Held in late February when BC trails are at their wettest and most challenging, it serves as the traditional season-opener for the Coast Mountain Trail Running series.
