The 50/50 challenge runs the full 50 Mile (79.3km) on Saturday and the full 50K (51.8km) on Sunday for ~131km combined. Cumulative finish times determine placement. The finisher's trucker hat changes color with each completion year — blue, green, yellow, grey & orange, Garibaldi Sunrise, black, purple, and red for an eighth finish — creating a dedicated community of repeat 50/50 athletes.
