Held in early May, the race runs in Squamish's coastal temperate climate. Expect cool, damp spring conditions, with daytime temperatures typically around 8-16 C and a real chance of rain leaving trails muddy and root-slick. The longer loop spends more time on higher, more exposed terrain where it can be cooler and breezier, and conditions can shift quickly between sun and showers; trails are often wet from spring runoff.
Early-May coastal weather brings a real chance of rain and muddy, root-slick trails.
