Dogs may not pace runners on the trail. Dogs may be leashed with spectators/crew and must stay a minimum of 30 meters from aid station and start/finish tents.
Free dispersed camping at Hugh Otte Campground, ¼ mile from the start/finish. Additional paid campsites and yurts available in Sinks Canyon at Shoshone National Forest and Sinks Canyon State Park campgrounds.
Course starts at 6,100 ft and climbs to ~9,000 ft; expect reduced oxygen and potential lightheadedness for those coming from lower elevations.
Afternoon thunderstorms are common in Wyoming's mountains in June, particularly on exposed ridgelines and the Fairfield Ridge traverse.
The section between Bruce's Picnic (mile 12) and Worthen Meadows (mile 20) is fairly exposed and can become hot mid-race; carry extra water.
