The course winds through the Wasatch-Cache National Forest on 70% singletrack trail with nearly 23,000 feet of climbing. Runners pass through forests of pine, brilliant red maples, and quaking aspens turning gold in late September, ranging from 4,800 feet to over 9,000 feet in elevation.

300 general lottery spots plus 300 waitlist positions. 50 reserved entries for aid station captains, sponsors, and special consideration. Veterans (previous finishers) receive roughly 2x the drawing odds. Most applicants get in within 1-2 years.
Must complete a 50 Mile race or longer within the qualification window
Qualifying window: December 01, 2021 – December 01, 2025
Must have completed a 50-miler in under 16 hours, or any official 100K, 100-mile, or 200-mile race under cutoff within the qualifying window. The Tushar 70K also qualifies.
8 hours of trail work or volunteer service required (not crewing or pacing). Work must be completed between September 2025 and September 15, 2026. Alternatively, a $100 fee can be paid to have someone complete trail work on the runner's behalf.
