Brutal singletrack loop through Squamish's finest mountain terrain
Other trail races within 142 miles
A punishing 79km loop starting and finishing in downtown Squamish, the 50 Mile runs nearly entirely on technical singletrack and packs over 3,500m of climbing and descent through the Sea to Sky network above Howe Sound. The infamous Galactic Scheisse climb rises 750m over 4km to ~1,000m elevation, and the back half of the course is significantly harder than the front. Earns ITRA 3 performance points and hosted the 2023 Canadian Mountain & Trail Running Championships and 2024 Canadian Trail Running Championship.
