A fast, climby 18 km loop through Squamish's coastal singletrack
Other trail races within 140 miles
A loop course from Capilano University (formerly Quest University) in Squamish, BC, blending fast runnable singletrack with steep, technical climbing and descending. Roughly 900 m of gain over 18 km earns big views across the valley to the Tantalus Range, and the route stitches together local classics like Legacy, Megacy, and Somewhere Over There with two bridge crossings over Darwin's and Carpenter's Son creeks. A long-standing local favourite that has drawn the region's top talent, leaving the course records notoriously hard to beat.

Held in early May, the race runs in Squamish's coastal temperate climate. Expect cool, damp spring conditions, with daytime temperatures typically around 8-16 C and a real chance of rain leaving trails muddy and root-slick. Higher sections of the loop can be cooler and breezier, and conditions can shift quickly between sun and showers; trails are often wet from spring runoff.
Early-May coastal weather brings a real chance of rain and muddy, root-slick trails.
