30-mile alpine adventure on the Tahoe Rim Trail with sweeping Lake Tahoe views
Other trail races within 72 miles
The 50K covers approximately 30 miles and 6,000 feet of climbing, sharing the initial ascent from Western Nevada College with the longer distances before branching off at Hobart Aid Station for a scenic 2-mile loop around Marlette Peak. Runners then descend via the shaded Capital to Tahoe Trail and sun-exposed Ash to Kings singletrack back to the finish in Carson City. An approachable entry point into TRTER's high-altitude terrain with the same spectacular Lake Tahoe views and legendary aid station hospitality.
