Compact but serious — summit to suspension bridge to Verbier finish
Other trail races within 63 miles
Despite the "marathon" name, this is a full alpine technical race starting high above Bruson and climbing immediately to exposed ridgeline above the Grand Combin and Mont Blanc massifs. The route crests Mt Rogneux at 3084 m — the highest point of any of the TVSB races — before descending into the Panossière glacier area and its dramatic suspension bridge. Explicitly not recommended for runners who dislike technical mountain terrain; this is a serious alpine challenge packed into a compact format.
