The flagship event and 2026 USATF 50K Trail National Championship, this point-to-point course begins at Surveyors Ridge east of the mountain and climbs through diverse national forest terrain to the 8,000-foot volcanic turnaround on Mt. Hood's flanks. The route passes through flowing ridgeline singletrack, historic rocky doubletracks, wildflower corridors along Sahale Falls Trail, and a jaw-dropping final push up the Wizard Trail's scree fields to the moraine spine. After the turnaround, runners rip the descent back to Mt. Hood Meadows on exposed alpine trails. With $12,000 in prize money and a national championship designation, the field draws competitive trail runners from across the country.

RV and car camping allowed on the paved parking lot at Mt. Hood Meadows on Friday and Saturday nights of race weekend. Overnight use fee paid directly through Mt. Hood Meadows in advance via their website or on-site before 7PM. Lodge restrooms available 24 hours. No soft-surface or tent camping areas on-site. Nearby Forest Service campgrounds and dispersed sites available for those with gear.
