  • Runners may not receive aid from or be paced by vehicles on road sections.

Weather

Mid-May in the North Georgia mountains brings unpredictable spring weather. Temperatures typically range from 50°F to 75°F (10–24°C), though early morning and overnight lows can dip cooler at elevation. Rain is a real possibility and can make already technical trails slippery. Runners should prepare for wet conditions, especially on the mountain road sections and exposed ridgelines.
