Runners navigate the first hours entirely in darkness through rugged mountain terrain before finishing at Mink Creek Group Campground by Saturday evening. Spring conditions bring variable weather from snow and mud to heat.

Free camping at Mink Creek Group Campground finish area. Large grassy field with limited parking — one space per runner. Small RVs (up to 26 ft) welcome; larger vehicles should use Scout Mountain Campground nearby.
