Full Speedgoat character in half the distance—still brutally steep
Other trail races within 154 miles
The 30K runs the first half of the legendary 50K course, giving runners the full Speedgoat experience of ascending to Hidden Peak at 11,000 feet. Despite being shorter, the 6,500 feet of elevation gain packed into 19.2 miles is a genuine mountain challenge—especially for runners not acclimatized to altitude. After reaching Hidden Peak, the course loops through the famous Tunnel section, descends Peruvian Gulch, then grinds back up Cirque Ridge before a fast finishing plunge to Snowbird Plaza. It earns 2 UTMB Running Stones—the same as the 50K.
