The Summit is Speedgoat's pure-climb option: a 3.5-mile push from the Snowbird Center Plaza straight up the mountain to the Hidden Peak Aid Station, gaining roughly 3,000 feet on the way. There is no descent to race; finishers ride the Snowbird tram back down to the Plaza. It runs on the Saturday of race weekend alongside the 50K, and the finish doubles as a summit party where runners refuel and cheer the 50K field as it passes through Hidden Peak. The route was adjusted for 2026 to stay clear of the 50K course.
