The second half of the Winter Downs 200: 100 unmarked December miles from Amberley to Box Hill
Other trail races within 40 miles
A point-to-point 100-miler that follows the second half of the Winter Downs 200 route. It starts at Amberley Museum in West Sussex at 2 pm, runs 42 miles west on the South Downs Way, turns north-east on the Wayfarers Walk and St Swithuns Way through Alton to Farnham, then follows the North Downs Way east past St Martha's and Newlands Corner to finish at Juniper Hall below Box Hill. The course is not marked, so runners navigate by GPX. Only three checkpoints (miles 30, 49 and 80) serve hot food and drop bags, with crew allowed at listed points between them. The afternoon start means two long winter nights inside the 35-hour limit. Centurion pitches it as a step up from its summer 100s and a taste of the 200.

Entry by application
Entry is by application. Runners declare their running and multi-sport experience, and race management may refuse any application. As a guide, a finish at a single-stage trail race of 100 km or longer gives a good chance of acceptance. Shorter finishes alone are not enough. Self-powered winter or mountain journeys, adventure racing, orienteering and climbing also count. Qualifying data is verified 6 weeks before race day; a rejected application is refunded in full.
