A January 30K on Monte Sano's bluffs, creeks and waterfalls that closes out Huntsville's winter trail series

The Frozen Goat 30K is the longest race of the Frozen Goat and the final round of RunningLane's Winter Wild Thangs Trail Series at Monte Sano State Park above Huntsville, Alabama. The course links the park's trail network past bluff-top overlooks, creek crossings and waterfalls, with five aid stations along the way. It runs in mid-January, when mornings often sit near freezing, and many local runners use it as a long build toward the Mountain Mist 50K later in the month. Aid stations use no paper cups, so every runner carries a bottle, pack or reusable cup. A post-race cookout follows at the finish.
