Set in California's Santa Ynez Valley, the course traverses historic ranch roads and flowing singletrack through coastal sage scrub, live oak canyons, and open grasslands, with views stretching to Cachuma Lake and the Pacific Ocean. With approximately 5,085 feet of climbing and a firm 10-hour cutoff, it rewards well-prepared runners with an unparalleled California backcountry experience on land steeped in Mexican land grant–era heritage.
