The rolling 100K of the Monts du Lyonnais — UTMB Index qualifier with a convivial spirit
Other trail races within 137 miles
The Ultra-Trail des Coursières traverses the undulating hills of the Monts du Lyonnais, southwest of Lyon, on a loop course designed by ultra-runners for ultra-runners. The 104km route follows singletrack trails and country paths with panoramic views typical of this gentle mountain region — described by locals as alternately flowing and punishing. It's an ideal first 100K or preparation race for summer mountain ultras, backed by a well-organized, solidarity-minded club. The course is not published in advance to protect private landowner agreements, but a roadbook is distributed to registered runners in mid-April.
