Runners climb roughly 1,000 vertical meters in under 5 km on the Old Si Trail, which averages about a 22% grade through old forest on rooty singletrack. Nearly everyone power hikes. The race finishes on a rocky outcrop high on Mt Si, where runners wait for friends before walking or jogging back down. It opens the Trail Fest weekend on Saturday, with awards afterwards in town.
